The Games List

The games list is the core of the GnoMAME, in it you can find all the useful game information such as the ROM name, the game name and status. With the games list you can mark games, sort them or play a game.
The games list is composed of two parts, the title bar and the games info list :

The Title Bar

In the title bar you can find a description of the columns visible into the games list, every column on the title bar is a clickable button. Once pressed, sort the games list according with the meaning of the column, for example if you click onto the Year column title button, the entire list will sort into the creation year ascending order from the older to the most recent games.
There are three special columns :

Games visibility column states
Into the games list On the title bar
The game's ROM was tested with no errors or warnings Only games with a green "V" flag will be shown
When tested there was some warnings but the game is also playable, you can see warnings into the game's info window, they are marked with a leading bold 'WARNING:' Will be shown only playable games also if they have warnings
The game isn't playable: Fatal errors founded into the ROM when tested, you can see errors into the game's info window, they are marked with a leading bold 'ERROR:' Will be shown all the games founded also if they aren't playable
The game isn't playable: No ROM found All the xmame games database will be shown without any selection

The Games Info List
 
Here we can see a typical GnoMAME games list view.
We can see that the games are sorted into a "Description" ascending order and that we have 10 games visible, 8 with ROMs in perfect state (the  icons on the first column) and 2 with some warnings (the  icon on the first column and the last two lines). The game "Ninja Gaiden" has a specific xmame configuration indicated by the  icon into the second column and the game "Pengo" was marked (the  icon of the third column) and you can find it also into the "Notepad".

The Games List Menu

Here you can see the games list menu in action : 

Menu actions
Mark Same as you press the 'M' keyboard key, mark the selected games and put them into the notepad
Go to Clone Move the games list to the game with ROM name equal to the clone field of the selected game.
Unmark Unmark the selected games and remove them from the notepad
Delete RC Delete the game-specific xmame configuration
Preferences Open the xmame preferences window for the selected game (if multiple selection open the general xmame configuration window)
Select ALL Select all the games of the list (not the filtered out)
Clear Selection Clear any previous selection
