If you would like to report an ACPI bug, please include
the following information

1) Any system information you have available (motherboard,
   chipset, BIOS, system vendor)

2) Any relevant information from the kernel log

     dmesg | grep -iE 'version|acpi|apm|e820' > kernel.log

3) Actual description of the problem you are experiencing

4) Output of acpidmp

     acpidmp > acpidmp.log

Get acpidmp from the pmtools package which is available
   from the ACPI4Linux website (http://phobos.fs.tum.de/acpi/)

5) Output of acpid with debug turned on

     acpid -d >& acpid.log

If (and only if) acpid crashes, instead send a full debug trace

     acpid -dt >& acpid.log

Beware, this file is going to be *large*

Package up the bug report and log files

     tar cvf - bugreport.txt *.log | gzip -9 > bug.tar.gz

and mail them (preferrably as an attachment) to andy_henroid@yahoo.com

You should also forward the bug report to the ACPI4Linux
mailing list (acpi@phobos.fs.tum.de). PLEASE DO NOT
INCLUDE ANY OF THE LOG FILES TO THE MAILING LIST AS
THESE COULD BE RATHER LARGE AND MOST PEOPLE DON'T
APPRECIATE MULTI-MEGABYTE MAILING LIST MESSAGES.

Thanks!
