It works on Windows 95, 98 and ME. Lnx4win does not work on Windows NT or 2000. It is a convenient way to discover Linux-Mandrake without modifying your Windows system. It is however significantly slower than a regular installation. Also, your Linux-Mandrake installation is lost if you re-install Windows. ----------------------- Installation of Lnx4Win ----------------------- I Requirements: - Hardware system compatible with Linux Mandrake. - 64Mb RAM - 400 Mb free space on Windows partition. - Windows(tm) 95/98/ME II Preparing the installation Please follow these steps carefully : - Run scandisk to clean up your system. - Insert the cdrom. - The autorun program should appear. If it is not the case, double-click on the cdrom drive icon in Explorer. Then double-click on the autorun.exe icon. - A window pops up. V De-installation of Lnx4win - Boot the system under Windows - Run the uninstall.bat script located in the lnx4win folder of your hard disk. - To remove the linux entries in the boot selection, boot from a Windows startup disk and run the command "fdisk /mbr" on the hard drive that contains the master boot record.
