Configure dbblast
The Configure dbblast dialog lets you configure the blasting
threshholds and image save quality.
Blasting Threshholds
Average Lightness
The Average Lightness threshhold is the average lightness value
of the pixels surrounding the bunny. This is a value from 0 to
255. The higher the number, the lighter the color. The default
threshhold is 100.
Changing this threshholds changes how aggressively dbblast removes
dust bunnies when surrounded by a dark colored background. For
example, if you find that dbblast doesn't remove bunnies from dark
blue sky, try lowering this threshhold to 90 or even lower.
Average Color Range
The Average Color Range is the difference between the lightest
and darkest color values in the pixels surrounding the bunny. The
value ranges from 0 (no range) to 255 (a relatively high range).
The default is 70.
Image areas that have a low range of colors tend to have less fine
detail that areas that have higher ranges. Since dbblast tends to
smudge areas with lots of fine details, we can usually get by without
blasting bunnies in areas with fine details especially since the
details tend to hide the dust bunnies anyway.
Raising this threshhold value will make dbblast more aggressively remove
bunnies in areas with fine details.
Disable Threshholds
Checking this box will disable threshhold checking. Dbblast will erase all
bunnies regardless of threshholds.
Image Save Quality
This setting controls the image quality and compression of the
output .jpg file. For a .png file it determines the compression level.
The range is 30 to 100, with 100 being the best quality or least
compression. The default is 96.
Hotpixel Processing
No Hotpixel Processing
Checking this box disables hotpixel processing even if the file
default.hpx is present in the working directory.
Hotpixel Processing Only
Checking this box causes dbblast remove hotpixels, but disables dust
bunny processing.
Output and Help Path
Help Path
This button lets you set the path to the help documentation. On Linux
this will usually be in "/usr/doc/dbblast/helpdocs", and on Windows
in "helpdocs" under the directory where dbblast was installed.

Pressing this button lets you select or create an output directory. After
you finish the path to the directory will be displayed in the Relative
Path text edit window. You can also just type in the relative path in
the Relative Path edit box.
