Lucidor is a computer program for reading and handling e-books. Lucidor supports e-books in the EPUB file format, and catalogs in the OPDS format.
Lucidor runs on the GNU/Linux, Windows and Mac OS X platforms.

It is not necessary to perform any special installation procedure to run Lucidor from the zip package. Just decompress the zip package somewhere to your hard disk.
Before you can run Lucidor, however, you must make sure that either Firefox or XULRunner is installed. See “Requirements” below.
When Lucidor is run from the zip package there will not be any menu entry to start it. On GNU/Linux you can double-click on the file lucidor.sh from the zip package to run Lucidor.

This batch script assumes that Firefox or XULRunner is installed in a standard location. You may need to edit the script to point to the correct installation directory.
A separate dmg installation image to install Lucidor on Mac OS X is available on the web site. The following description instead shows how to run Lucidor from the zip package.
You can choose whether to install Lucidor, or whether to run it directly from the zip package. It is recommended to install the package.
Before Lucidor can be installed, you must install XULRunner. See “Requirements” below.
To install Lucidor on Mac OS X, first decompress the zip package to your hard disk, and then double-click on the file install-osx.command found inside.
When Lucidor has been installed on Mac OS X then it can be started by clicking on Lucidor in the Ordbrand folder in the Applications folder.

If you want to install the Lucidor on Mac OS X, XULRunner is required. If you want to run the program from zip package without installing it, however, it is possible to use Firefox on Mac OS X too.

On GNU/Linux you would normally install Firefox and XULRunner from your distribution’s package repository instead.
