The most popular types of ADSL connections use DHCP (dynamic host resolution protocol) and PPPOE (point-to-point protocol over ethernet) which is the default selection seen here.
If your account doesn't use pppoe, choose the other button.
Note: if your DSL connection uses a static IP address, use "configure local network" from the main networking window.
